Maddie Flandrick = star student
Legitimately. She used Aisle Planner just the way I’d like all people everywhere to use it. She followed the checklist, added to our timeline and used the new layout feature to ensure that her whole wedding team was on the same page.
Let’s talk more about the layout for a second. It usually follows that your venue will provide some sort of layout, however, what your vendors need may require much more detail than what that entails. Your caterer wants to know which tables will seat your immediate family (to be dismissed or served first), your florist or decorator wants to know table numbers, especially if there is variance in the type of centerpieces each table will get.
And I want to know everything.
Maddie and Ethan told me everything, there weren’t any unpleasant-think-on-your-feet-oh-shit surprises like a random extra box of table decor (‘uh, where does this go’) and for that I am SUPER thankful.
It’s always bittersweet when clients get married, I know it’s the end goal, but it means we don’t get to meet and talk about them getting married anymore. Someone, anyone, please feel bad for me lol.
6 THINGS WE CAN LEARN
Be you. Be authentically you. It will suit you well on your wedding day
Provide water for guests if the temp is more than 75 degrees
You don’t need to provide a chair for every guest if your venue includes a grassy hill and large rocks that can serve as benches
Hiring a day of coordinator isn’t just something you do for your own sanity, it’s something you do for your mom’s… your sisters’… your fiance’s…
Your wedding timeline can make or break your day
Having friends help set up is always nice, but you need one person to be in charge, one person who can keep their cool and happily direct everyone else
