LAUREN WEDS ADAM

Lauren and Adam got married and graduated medical school in the same month, so naturally, to keep the mountain of stress at bay, they hired a wedding planner.

SO SMART

I love working with out of state couples, not just because it means Zoom calls from my home office, but also because it reminds me of my own wedding, which was planned from 1500 miles away.

When your wedding is destination for you and not just your guests, it can add an extra layer of stress. But finding someone who is familiar with your venue can really help to dissolve all of those keep-you-up-at-night worries.

6 THINGS WE CAN LEARN FROM LAUREN + ADAM

  1. Sometimes you need to find a new rehearsal dinner venue last minute because of flooding - the best place to start is your hotel.

  2. If your venue is already a stunning setting, you can go minimal with the decor and it still makes a big impact.

  3. Everyone always thinks about rain but what about wind? Inclement weather can take all shapes and forms, wind can really take the warmth out of your day, having a back up heating plan in place can make guests all the more comfortable.

  4. Always pack up as much as you can as soon as you can, whether it’s your personal bag from the morning or unused decor - it makes packing up end of night a lot easier (and faster).

  5. If your wedding venue is out of town, you can save delivery costs by having a friend or extended family member pick up flowers/dessert/linen. Make sure you confirm with them and give them all the information they need so that save money doesn’t result in a headache.

  6. Let the time you have access to the venue and the time you need to be ready by dictate how many hair stylists and makeup artists you need to hire.
