PAIKKA is the perfect place for love. You’ve got industrial, romantic feels combined with free onsite parking and beer next door.
- - these are a few of my favorite things - -
Eleanor and Aaron’s wedding was romantic and relaxed, it had laughs and family and a lot of happy faces.
They started their weekend with a rehearsal at Bad Weather Brewing, which is kind of perfect. They have a separate space for rental and plenty of room to line up your processional, practice a dry run (with house provided audio) and then spend the rest of the night reconnecting with all the people gathered to celebrate your love.
They ended their wedding weekend with a Saint Paul Saints game for the whole crew - so basically, the perfect St. Paul wedding.
6 THINGS WE CAN LEARN FROM AARON + ELEANOR:
While playing a game or two on the morning of your wedding may seem like a fun idea; if you have hair and makeup happening then you’ll probably be too busy, so maybe skip the Sushi Go.
Limited on getting ready space? Like a hotel room (not a suite)? Then limit the amount of people in the room at one time.
If you are getting ready at a hotel make sure to text everyone the room number when you check in (like your planner, your hair and makeup team, your photographer, your videographer, and even your florist).
If it’s a hot day make sure your first look isn’t in full sun - squinting tends to dampen the romance.
Dessert estimating is tough!! I just think you probably would rather have too much and not not enough. Bite the bullet and agree that leftovers can get taken home by guests or staff.
Giving kids a job makes them feel like an important part of your day, but it can also be an adorable way for your guests to get greeted and get their programs.
